The Job
Tango's Enterprise Architect will partner cross-functionally and identify opportunities to improve our processes and the effectiveness of our business systems. You will translate business needs into system requirements and develop scalable functional & technical solutions. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of our core business systems. This is an exciting opportunity to build the foundation for our most important business systems and processes! Reports To: VP, Business Technology
As Enterprise Architect at Tango, you will:
- Drive evolution of systems, integration, and automation architecture design and articulate solution options to colleagues and stakeholders
- Help define policies and establish standards, governance, and guidance for business object modeling, integrations, automation, and change management
- Engage in and take a leading role in data modeling across the landscape and business systems
- Scale our integration platform implementation as a Center of Excellence by identifying, designing, and implementing changes big and small
- Guide, contribute to, and evangelize an integration and automation framework to guarantee definitions and ensure continuity
- Administer and help drive efficiency across shared service platforms and systems (eg: Workato, Census) to ensure optimal and efficient usage
- Collaborate across Business Technology and beyond to design, build, and scale data pipelines and infrastructure from our source applications and databases to/fro Data Lakehouse
- Help design, implement, and scale testing frameworks to validate integration and automation processes, monitoring performance and tuning as necessary
- Extract, scrub, quality control, normalize, and model data, setting and following guidelines
- Design, build, and maintain system integrations to automate and scale our data and business systems
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Security, across Business Technology, and others to inform strategy and design
- Complete assigned tickets including functional/technical development, testing, review, UAT, and deployment while communicating progress and blockers
- Promote best practices and help guide the team toward continuous improvement
- Understand technology trends and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business needs
- Engage with vendors to drive evaluation and implementation new technologies, presenting options to team management
- Develop training around architecture, integration and automation general practices and principles
- Manage projects and initiatives of appropriate size and complexity
To be effective in our Enterprise Architect role, you must have:
- 5 years work experience in a relevant combination of Business Technology, Systems, Enterprise Architecture, Solutions Consulting, and/or Solutions Architecture
- Passion for stakeholder engagement, eliciting and defining business and system requirements in an agile environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate ideas visually and create professional presentations
- Understanding of security and governance needs in an enterprise environment
- Experience extracting (eg: SQL), translating, and presenting data as well as modeling data for integration, automation, reporting, and dashboards
- Experience working with project management methodologies across functional teams
Our ideal Enterprise Architect at Tango will have most of the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related domain
- Experience designing testing frameworks
- Technical skills (experience in at least three of the following areas):
- Enterprise Data Hub Architecture
- Microservices or API-based Integration Architecture
- Event-driven Architecture
- Data Pipelines - Enterprise ETL/ELT for Data Warehousing
- Process Automation via BPM or RPA
- Process Mining, Process Discovery, Value Stream Mapping
- Integration/Automation Strategy Development
- Operating Models (Center of Excellence, Citizen Automation, etc.)
- Enterprise ERP Systems (SAP, Workday, Oracle)
- Relevant Certifications are welcome
- Experience working in a systems implementation practice, management consulting firm, or fast-growing SaaS environment (a plus!)
Salary: The targeted pay range for this position is between $108,000 to $162,000. Please note that the actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonus.
