Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

FP&A Manager partners with the VP of Finance and Controller to oversee all FP&A activities at tango. This position is responsible for partnering with the VP of Finance to oversee monthly reporting, periodic forecasting, and the annual budgeting processes. Such responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with various departments to incorporate financial information, facilitating the monthly general ledger closing process, analyzing and interpreting trends/variances, presenting findings to management, and special projects requested by departmental and executive management.

Reporting to the VP of Finance and Controller this role works closely with Accounting and Finance partners to ensure accurate data and information gathering and will support the build-out of the company's metric reporting.

Job Duties

This position is responsible for partnering with the VP of Finance to oversee monthly reporting, periodic forecasting, and annual budgeting processes. Such responsibilities include:

• Overseeing monthly cost center financial reporting including preparation of financial reports and meeting with cost center owners to review results;
• Reporting on financial performance and preparing reporting for regular leadership reviews;
• Recommending actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses;
• Performing financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking;
• Analyzing financial/operational data and creating financial models for decision support;
• Identifying and driving process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards;
• Assisting in the development of automated reporting/forecasting tools;
• Partnering with Accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting, including reviewing and auditing GL coding;
• Assisting with bank reporting and covenant monitoring
• Creating and maintaining cash forecasting
• Performing special projects to improve process efficiency and other projects as deemed necessary by leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Accounting required
• A minimum of 4 year’ experience in the Finance area is necessary
• Experience in healthcare is a must
• Strong Excel skills are required as well as proficiency in financial modeling techniques
• Ability to learn/know/use NetSuite, QuickBooks and other applications is required
• Excellent organizational and project management skills are essential
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary, including the ability to present financial information clearly to senior management
• Ability to work independently and be resourceful
• Experience with Excel Power Query & MS Power BI preferred
