What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tank Compliance Technician position at Tanknology?
YOU: Looking for a job (or just dipping your toe in the water) or you wouldn't be reading this.
US: We have jobs in a very unique and stable job industry (we are federally mandated so not going anywhere).
YOU: Are good at working outside, with your hands, doing mechanical things and enjoy it.
US: Nearly all our jobs outdoors and require getting your hands dirty as well as thinking through some pretty complex mechanical things. We train you on all of this.
YOU: Are good with travel (maybe even like it) and can be out several nights out of the week, obviously on our dime and our vehicle.
US: Pay a handsome per diem for those overnight times and almost all the big bosses started in the field, so they ACTUALLY understand what it is like.
YOU: Like working solo and want some stability in your job where you don't have to worry about things like a possible recession.
US: Required by state and federal law to do what we do so that is rather stable if you ask us.
In case you cannot tell, we know you have read a thousand job ads and they all look alike and say just about the same thing. We are not going take up a lot of your time here. Either you are interested, or you are not but no matter what, we appreciate you stopping by and reading this far. Bear in mind we do follow DOT regulations so we must do drug and alcohol testing according to local and state regulations as well as a physical and background check.
So to wrap this up, the 10 cent tour of what we do: We do inspections on underground tanks that hold petroleum and diesel fuel to ensure they are not leaking down into the ground or up into the air.
