What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse - Float Pool Med-Surg position at Tanner Health System?
The Float Pool RN performs nursing duties in accordance with hospital policy procedure, may function as a charge nurse or staff nurse, and supervises other nursing personnel who are responsible for patient care. Capable of making independent decisions in the majority of situations and is therefore able to direct patient care that is provided by others. Serves as a resource to other employees. Is responsible and accountable for prescribing and coordinating all nursing care provided on the unit utilizing the nursing process.
Education
Associate Degree or 2 years of college coursework
Experience
Two years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.

- Georgia Registered Nurse License or Multistate Nursing License
- BLS through the American Heart Association (CPR)

- Must be able to adapt to multiple work environments in variety of different types of nursing units.
- BLS required within 30 days of hire.
- Qualifications as designated in Nursing Clinical Ladder Policy
