The ideal candidate for this position will have at least three years of experience teaching and a B.A./B.S. in a relevant field (Masters Degree or Ph.D. preferred); however, we are also open to candidates from non-traditional backgrounds. A successful candidate for this position will appreciate the art and craft of teaching, enjoy collaboration, embrace challenges, maintain a rich life outside of school, find deep satisfaction in working with younger students, possess the emotional acuity and personality to inspire and engage kids, and maintain an excellent sense of humor. Teaching can be difficult work, but its wildly fun and meaningful. This candidate will also wish to contribute to the larger life of TVT outside of the classroom (e.g., club sponsorship, coaching, leading trips, designing new programs, or interviewing applicants for admission, etc.). Additionally, this candidate should feel comfortable using technology to bolster learning experiences. We seek a teacher who is able to plan, organize, and implement differentiated instructional programs and effectively collaborate with grade-level teams and colleagues. TVT is a highly collaborative environment; grade-level teams work together to plan and implement their lessons. Strong communication skills and the desire to develop partnerships with students and parents are central to the culture at TVT.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited Institution required
- Valid elementary California teaching credential preferred
- Prior classroom teaching experience
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Knowledge of educational technology
- Knowledge of flipped/blended learning techniques
Compensation Range
The full-time equivalent salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000. The starting salary is based upon, but not limited to, several factors that include type and years of experience, education level, and expertise.
