Job Summary and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Data Entry Specialist ensures accurate data entry and responsibilities:
· Transfer data from paper formats into database system using keyboards and scanners
· Verify data by comparing it to source documents
· Collect and determine information before entering data into software programs
· Update existing data
· Enter personal customer information into database
· Review all data for errors and report unusual findings to management
· Resolves problems by clarifying the complaint/concern, determining root cause, selecting and explaining the best possible solution; expediting correction or adjustment and follow up to ensure resolution
· Recommends potential process improvements or services to Operations by collecting carrier information and analyzing customer/carrier needs and requests
· Processes invoices to escalate insertion of any past due or aged records
· Works independently and prioritizes tasks efficiently
· Contributes to team effort
· All other duties assigned by management
Skills and Qualifications:
· Minimum of high school diploma or GED
· Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of both customer and carrier’s organizations
· Problem solving and strong organizational skills with attention to detail
· Highly motivated with an ability to work independently as well as in a group setting
· Must have excellent phone and email communication skills and ability to multitask and assist clients after hours.
· Solid understanding of MS Office, Windows, and basic business software
