Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Reports to: Director of Supply Chain Operations
Overall Focus: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient operations of the TPT warehouse facilities and the functions supporting them. The Warehouse Supervisor will be the leader of a team that operates throughout the TPT manufacturing facility as well as several off-site warehouses. The Warehouse Supervisor must have the ability to work and communicate well with others in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. All employees shall perform as directed by the management team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Accountable for safe work practices and warehouse environment.
- Supervise and build an effective and productive team of warehouse and office employees across multiple shifts and schedules.
- Accountable for the productivity and accuracy of the warehouse operations: receiving, movement, storage, shipping. Including regularly scheduled audits of transactions and paperwork.
- Coordinate safe and efficient transfer of materials between warehouses.
- Analyze and plan storage of Ingredients, Packaging and Finished Goods in a manner to optimize both space utilization and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure that Packing Center of Excellence (PCE) is supplied with all required materials in a timely manner eliminating downtime.
- Ensure inventory accuracy on a regular schedule. Put in place corrective actions and best practices surrounding inventory management.
- Ensure that our Deployment (shipping) team has visibility to completed product, customer orders to meet our on-time shipping and fulfillment targets.
- Regular reporting (daily/monthly) on metrics regarding on-time shipping, fulfillment, inventory accuracy, receiving accuracy, warehouse capacity, safety.
- Champion Targeted Pet Treats goals, policies, visions, and values
- Ensure work area is kept clean, neat, and orderly
QUALIFICATIONS
(Knowledge and skills necessary to meet organizational objectives)
Education/Training/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Should have 5 years of experience working in warehouse operations, preferably with supervisory experience.
- 3-5 years of shipping experience (FTL, LTL, customer routing, etc.)
- Experience with industrial forklifts, their operation and safety protocols.
