Responsibilities:
- Maintain the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, and its patients and visitors.
- Provide supervision for at-risk patients in the hospital environment.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Completed High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
- Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs., help restrain or lift a person
- Valid drivers license and ability to meet HSS a Tarian company driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles).
Desired Qualification of the Security Officer:
- Previous work experience with the public in a service setting
TASER Qualifications:
- Ability to meet qualification standards when initially placed in a TASER position and annually thereafter
- Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a TASER
- Ability to participate in and pass additional TASER training at the discretion of the TASER instructor and/or HSS a Tarian company
- Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of the HSS a Tarian company Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER), HSS a Tarian company's Taser Policy
