Under the direction of the District Director of Admissions and Records, the Director of State Reporting is responsible for submitting several of the College’s state, federal, and local reports. This position will use technical expertise to generate quantitative data from college systems to create and submit reports.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Performance Requirements*
  • Serves as the College’s state reporting official as defined by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB)
  • Maintains mastery of state reporting procedures and meets all reporting deadlines; responsible for updating related college procedures
  • Oversees and supports term and annual reporting processes, including file generation, submission, edit review, error resolution, and certification
  • Assists in the preparation for the State of Texas Formula Funding audits or reviews and will follow up on findings, as directed
  • Serves on committees and joins appropriate associations as directed and attends relevant meetings, conferences, and workshops
  • Stays current on THECB and Texas Veteran Commission reporting procedures and informs college leadership about any potential impacts on college operations or planning
  • Assists in submission and error resolution for National Student Clearinghouse reporting
  • Assists in the preparation of Tarrant To & Through Partnership reporting as well as reports for other TCC partnerships and initiatives
  • Keeps supervisor apprised of work activities, challenges, and reporting status


Service Excellence
  • Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
  • Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
  • Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation, and creativity and service to the College
  • Supports the mission, values, and goals and principles of the College

Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the District Director of Admissions and Records

  • Performs Other Related Tasks as Required

Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree
  • Three (3) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in Math, Statistics, Research, Computer Science, Social or Behavioral Science, Higher Education Administration, or another related discipline
  • Experience in institutional reporting or research in a higher education setting
  • Experience running processes and generating reports from the Ellucian Colleague platform
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of statistical reporting, including report creation and auditing, with the ability to explain reported data
  • Knowledge of methodologies for quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Knowledge of best practices in higher education data recording, including student, faculty, and class record creation and maintenance
  • Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships with diverse populations, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication
  • Skilled using computer applications and enterprise systems, including the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and a setting that is diverse and urban
  • Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
  • Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
  • Ability to delegate work appropriately to faculty and staff to meet College and campus deliverables
