We are hiring Peer Support Technicians to assist patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders and addiction at Tarzana Treatment Centers.
Peer Support Technicians are essential to the admitting process providing patients with care and comfort and a warm handoff to Hospital and Residential treatment staff.
Peer Support Technician duties include providing patient care and customer service throughout the admitting process. Assisting patients exhibiting symptoms related to substance use disorders and addiction, escorting patients to medical providers and counselors, obtaining sample for drug and alcohol testing and performing body and property search in accordance with standard guidelines and procedures. Peer support Technicians are cross trained to complete admissions in the medical record.
Peer Support Technicians are required to attend assigned trainings, participate in staff meetings, and maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with agency policy and federal laws.
Must have excellent customer service and communication skills. Knowledge of and experience working with substance use disorders, a plus. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
