Parts Clerk
DESCRIPTION: TAS Aviation is looking for a Parts Clerk at their location in Defiance, Ohio. The Parts Clerk needs to be highly organized with good time management skills. Tasks will include processing parts, maintaining inventory, distributing parts to aircraft technicians and other miscellaneous tasks as needed. The Parts Department Clerk reports directly to the Director of
Parts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Charged with providing customer support to and inventory control for Aircraft Maintenance Technicians.
- Responsible for aiding in the proper procurement of parts and maintaining inventory for the Maintenance Department.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels by performing regular cycle counts and managing minimum/maximum levels.
- Monitor all parts shipments for timely arrival.
- Receive, inspect, and process all incoming parts to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
- Get all special order and stock parts to the aircraft technicians quickly and accurately.
- Administer and maintain records of all warranty parts returned and update systems for special orders.
- Maintain shipment of parts needing repair, core returns, or inspection.
- Be proficient and diligent on all required paperwork.
- Ensure that inventory and other work areas, and equipment are properly maintained and working in an orderly manner.
- Other duties and functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Excellent Organization/Time Management
- Exemplary Communication Skills.
- Background in manufacturing or shop environment (preferred)
- Critical thinking skills, particularly the ability to adapt and learn quickly.
- Autonomy in their job, independently navigate variable situations.
