The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and technical support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. A Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & POSTION REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining a new product roadmap based on a strategic vision for ONICON
- Research and develop product performance, cost, and price requirements.
- Assist in defining and implementing sales and marketing strategies for new and existing product lines
- Design, develop and maintain product literature to support new and existing sales and service activities
- Function as a project manager in collaboration with engineering, sales and operations for product development projects
- Develop and maintain an in-depth working knowledge of competitive products and evaluate new technologies to determine their impact on the marketplace
- Create written competitive product comparisons that support sales and marketing activities
- Provide in-depth product training for sales and marketing staff
- Provide technical support for sales, customer service, operations, and service
- Lead beta test programs
- Meet and interact with customers to support sales activities and to research new product development opportunities
- Attend tradeshows and meetings as required to support business activities
- Perform any other duties or responsibilities as requested by Supervisor or Manager
Position Requirements
- BS in an Engineering discipline
- 3-5 years of industry related sales, service, or marketing experience
- Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must be capable of effectively communicating to all levels of the organization and with customers
- Must possess a strong customer satisfaction orientation
- Must possess strong project management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSME with a concentration in HVAC controls
- MBA
- Experience in designing or servicing control systems for industrial HVAC
- Experience providing in-depth technical support for instrumentation in a related field
- Experience with flow measurement instrumentation
