About The Role

The Solutions Architect is responsible for ensuring the ongoing success of TaskRay prospects and customers, primarily in the large market and enterprise space, through technical consultation and solution architecture and implementation. You will work closely with internal teams, prospects, and customers to ensure successful scoping, architecture, and implementation of the TaskRay product and its process integration into Salesforce. The Solution Architect combines both hands-on and consultative Salesforce technical skills and is an expert in understanding business processes and translating requests to best practice solutions. You will help develop new processes, best practice, and delivery mechanisms for this role.

What you'll do:

Consultation & Solutioning

  • Serve as the trusted technical advisor to customers & prospects, gaining a deep understanding of the prospects business process and needs, helping them envision ideal, sustainable solutions for long-term success, and guiding them on best practices
  • Guide customers & prospects in product and technical understanding by leading customized product demos and lead technical calls (supporting the sales motions owned by the sales AE)
  • Support selling roles with technical assistance, demo org configuration, RFP and security assessment questionnaires, and other product and technical materials as needed
  • Lead solution consultation and architecture efforts for both prospects and customers
  • Write Statements of Work or Design documents for client engagements to define the scope of planned work to successfully configure and implement TaskRay, potentially including how TaskRay can be used alongside other Salesforce applications
  • Perform hands-on solution design and creating design documents
  • Create and lead prospects trials and proof-of-concepts, guiding them through the process and working to prove concepts or help a prospect meet trial goals

Architecture & Implementation

  • Effectively build and implement both standard and custom TaskRay solutions on the Salesforce platform in customer sandbox environments
  • Lead change management process from customer sandbox environments to production environments
  • Scope, architect, and build solutions that tie TaskRay into other Salesforce processes and applications
  • Build scalable solutions (Flow, etc.) with Salesforce best practices around object architecture, security, sharing & visibility, automation, etc
  • Create documentation that details the setup and configuration for the customer
  • Ensure TaskRay implementation is done effectively and enables the CSM to perform end user training prior to go-live of solutions

Internal Advocate & Team Collaboration

  • Serve as a senior member of the Solutions Engineering team, helping lead and train more junior members
  • Creating, documenting, and iterating on team processes and best practices, and ensure they are followed by all
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams in various ways, primarily when taking ad-hoc customer solutions and finding ways to make them scalable and able to be delivered to additional customers
  • Contribute to company, department and team goals and objectives
  • Act as a liaison between the Product, Support, Implementations, and Customer Success Teams to drive TaskRay/Salesforce best practices and solutions
  • Be a technical resource for internal teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in technical best practices

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 7 years experience acting as a technical business analyst, technical consultant, or similar role on the Salesforce platform
  • 5 years of experience in a client-facing role for large market/enterprise level clients that involves requirements gathering, training and/or change management
  • 4 years of experience architecting and building on the Salesforce platform
  • Expert in Salesforce customizations and automations, including Flow
  • APEX familiarity a plus; not required
  • Configuration experience with multiple other Salesforce applications
  • Technical evangelist obsessed with learning new software
  • Eager for the opportunity to use both your technical skills and drive for partner and customer satisfaction
  • Comfortable balancing implementations, business process consulting, and project management for 10 clients at any given time
  • Motivation to stay up to speed with new and changing technologies
  • Experience working with different levels in the organization; technical to C level
  • Understanding of enterprise level organizations’ buying process
  • Skilled at balancing technical terminology with business acumen
  • Travel requirements
  • Salesforce certifications or equivalent experience preferred: Admin, Advanced Admin, Platform App Builder, Business Analyst, Data Architect OR Sharing and Visibility Architect

  • Compensation

    Cash compensation for this role is commensurate with experience. Estimated annual salary range is between $120,000-$152,000 per year. This position is eligible for additional uncapped variable compensation between $9,000-$13,000 per year. Total on target earnings range is between $129,000-$165,000 annually.

    Location

    This position is hybrid (Colorado only).

    While TaskRay has a physical office in the Denver area, we’ve always been proud of our hybrid approach to the work environment, even pre-pandemic. We expect this role to be in-office 1-2 days per week.

    Additionally, we anticipate up to 15% travel time for this role.
