What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk Level 2 position at Tasteful Selections, LLC?
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk acts as the front facing clerk for Tasteful Selections Inc. with logistics companies and carriers picking up or delivering at our facility. The Shipping and Receiving clerk is responsible for ensuring that all shipping and receiving documents are completed accurately and in a timely fashion.
Essential duties
- Provides order pullers and forklift operators with the correct paperwork to load or unload.
- Assures that orders and shipping quantities match picking documents through a careful audit of those documents.
- Assists in resolving any discrepancies
- Ensures that good security processes are followed with regard to the driver and visitor sign in policy.
- Answers/routes all telephone calls in a polite and professional manner helping individuals in a timely manner.
- Assists & evaluates needs with shippers, services, weights & freight permits, inspections and other information needed for a timely shipping or receiving of materials.
- Maintains shipping and receiving station in order and stocked with supplies and needed forms.
- Notifies proper department of shipment arrivals and coordinates shipment information and paperwork to other offices or appropriate personnel.
- Prepares all paperwork needed for shipments such as, but not limited to: Bill of Lading, pick sheet, placards and or shipping labels needed for all loads.
- Enters data pertaining to domestic and international shipments into the system making sure the shipping or receiving in the system matches the physical shipping of the goods and the paperwork.
- Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pick up or delivery of goods.
- Ensures that drivers depart with appropriate paperwork.
- Ensures the accuracy of all shipping documents by adhering to SOP’s.
- Helps with special projects at the discretion of management.
- Completes necessary management reports as and when required.
- Follows GMP at all times.
Minimum requirements
A High School diploma is required
Excellent verbal and written communication Skills
2-3 years of experience in a related field or industry a plus

Salary : $34,400 - $43,500
