Requirements :
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY :
- Knowledge of table settings and service ware
- Ability to understand verbal English, i.e. guest requests and questions
- Ability to write and read English
- Ability to greet and seat customers
- Ability to handle guests’ requests
- Ability to answer the phone in a professional manner
- Knowledge of basic food service
- Ability to use a POS system
- Ability to handle, count and balance cash receipts
- Ability to maintain a bank for making change and collecting cash payments
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multitask
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS :
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard, approved cleaning products as assigned by the manager.
- Folding napkins for other meal periods to maintain adequate supplies.
- Perform any and all other duties asked of you related to the operation of the restaurant. Managers will not ask you to perform functions inappropriate to your job capacity.
Should you feel you are asked to something inappropriate, you should speak with your general manager. Rule of thumb is to always follow the directives of the manager on duty.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Any combination of education, training and work experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Six months experience as a server in a high-volume, full service establishment.
- Willingness to participate in a 10-year criminal background check conducted by the FBI
- Successfully pass computerized security and employment testing
