We are seeking a talented Electrical System Architect to join our team. As an Electrical System Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of electrical systems for our products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our electrical systems meet performance, reliability, and cost targets while adhering to industry standards and regulations. To evaluate the current system architecture, then make strategy for integration of individual components into the full engine.
Strategy for high voltage vs low voltage safety in terms of layout. High level diagrams/ schematics to give team clear direction.
System Design and Architecture:
electrical system architectures that meet product requirements and specifications.
the system-level electrical components, interfaces, and interconnections.
trade-off analysis to optimize system performance, cost, and reliability.
Requirements Analysis:
closely with stakeholders to understand and define system requirements.
high-level requirements into detailed electrical specifications.
that the electrical system design aligns with overall project goals and timelines.
Selection and Integration:
and select electrical components, such as microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and power supplies.
the integration of components into the system architecture.
compatibility testing and troubleshooting to resolve integration issues.
Qualifications:
degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
years of experience in electrical system design, architecture, and integration.
knowledge of analog and digital electronics, power distribution, and control systems.
in CAD software for schematic capture and PCB layout.
have familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as CE, CSA, ISO, IEC, and UL.
analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
with simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink) for electrical system analysis.
with embedded systems development and programming languages (e.g., C, C ).
of emerging technologies, such as Internet of Things (IoT) and electric vehicles (EVs).
in systems engineering or project management (e.g., INCOSE, PMP) is a plus.
Safety and Compliance:
that electrical systems comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
potential safety hazards and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
with regulatory agencies to obtain certifications and approvals as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
detailed design documents, schematics, and technical specifications.
accurate records of system configurations, changes, and test results.
regular progress reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
