Taurus Protection Inc. is excited to announce that we are hiring a skilled Mobile Patrol Security Officer! In this role, you will patrol the city of Santa Barbara in one of our marked patrol vehicles, playing a key part in keeping our community safe from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Your responsibilities will include preventing suspicious behavior and helping to prevent vandalism and theft. We are looking for someone who can confidently handle challenging situations. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority and possess strong observational skills.
Responsibilities
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
- Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
- Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
- Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations
- Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
- Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
- Provide assistance to people in need
- Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
- Skills
- Proven experience as security officer or guard
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
- Familiarity with report writing
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
- Registered as a security officer
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
