ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for accurately and timely assigning new and existing cases to Case Managers. This involves managing a pipeline of clients that are entering their customer journey and reviewing case files for completeness, accurate billing, ensuring required agreements and forms are on file, and all necessary information are included before assigning. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in tax relief, case review, collaborating with others, possess excellent communication time management skills, and is someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Review Client Cases: Review all newly onboarded client files for completeness and accuracy. Ensure all necessary documentation is captured and correct, including sales agreements, tax information authorization forms, and power of attorney forms. You’ll also be verifying services are invoiced correctly including billing details and payment schedules according to our internal standards.
- Communication: Communicate with the billing team to reassign cases that were recently past due. Communicate case assignments and reassignments clearly and promptly to case managers ensuring a smooth process and transition. Offer suggestions to improve case assignment process to optimize efficiency (we love feedback). Communicate with our billing team to ensure all cases past due are assigned to an active case manager or reassign as necessary.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with our sales team to address missing or incomplete information, insufficient notes, as well as missing and/or inaccurate services invoiced. Collaborate with team leads and supervisors to address any concerns or challenges related to case assignment and distribution. - Case File Assignment: Monitor workload and current pipeline of current case managers to effectively assign new or existing cases. Coordinate with team leads and supervisors to reassign cases based on employee availability, expertise and workload capacity. Reassign cases as necessary to ensure clients are receiving exceptional service. Review and respond to internal communication regarding cases requiring immediate action due to garnishments, levies, cancellation requests and/or Revenue Officers.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:
- Proficient with TalkDesk or other cloud-based automated phone software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, Excel, Google Gmail, Calendly and internal communication software.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of two years of experience in tax resolution industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Excellent customer services and call handling skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and mange time effectively.
- Ability to remain focused and productive within a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work in a high-energy, quickly changing, and demanding environment.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
The above-range represents TaxRise’s current good-faith pay scale for this role. TaxRise reserves the right to modify or update this range at any time.
