OFFICE CLERK TITLE CLERK
A Premier Automotive Dealership in the Toledo metropolitan area is looking to hire a Title Clerk/Office Clerk. To be eligible for this position, you must have automotive dealership experience as a title clerk.
Title Clerk - Job Responsibilities:
- Accurately processes incoming titles daily from dealerships, matches the consignor checks daily to the title and invoice.
- Prepares daily report of contracts and vehicle receivables due.
- Receive license and car titles from the revenue office
- Prepare transfer request for cars and nightly close
- Prepares payoff checks for trade-ins and follow ups on all titles.
- Processes after-sale warranties and related documents for month end.
- Maintains strict compliance with titling laws and filing requirements.
- Troubleshooting and problem resolution specific to titles.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Title Clerk - Requirements:
- Prior Title Clerk dealership experience is a must.
- Professional appearance and good communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Has experience with Reynolds & Reynolds is a plus
Office Clerk - Job Responsibilities:
- Post invoices
- Reconcile statements
- Disburse checks
- Balance statements and finalize data
- Prepare accounts for payments & verify data in system
- Follow up on past due accounts and returned checks
- Reconcile schedules
- Bill out sales
- Assure compliance of policies with regard to files and office procedures
- Ensure the payments and/or cash security for the office
- Maintain customer files
- Balance cash drawer daily
- Review clerical records to ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness
Office Clerk – Requirements:
- Have strong communication skills
- Are a self-starter with the ability to work independently and with a team
- Have an accounting degree (preferred, not required)
- Have AR/AP experience in the automotive dealership (preferred, not required)
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally in one-on-one situations to customers and other associates
- Valid driver’s license
- Computer literacy
- Has experience with Reynolds & Reynolds is a plus
