Job Description: Position Goals: This position is responsible for providing a full range of accounting support for the Taylor Crane & Rigging, Inc. Accounting Department. Summary: To monitor organizations' costs and create reports for budgetary, pricing, and cost analysis purposes. Track spending, changes in inventory costs, and the accuracy/compliance of cost records. Responsibilities:
Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database
Construct data accumulation systems
Determine fixed costs (e.g. salaries, rent and insurance)
Plan and record variable costs (e.g. purchases of raw material and operations costs)
Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
Prepare budgeting reports (for the company and for each department)
Analyze and report profit margins
Prepare cost forecasts
Assisting in month-end and year-end closing
Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions
Analyze job costing
Review job costings for accuracy
Calculate hourly rates of operating equipment
Assist in preparation for Capital Budgets
Inform management of cost saving opportunities
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related field from a four-year college or university with at least two years related experience preferably in a job costing environment; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have proficiency with various software applications programs including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Knowledge and application of generally accepted accounting principles.
Ability to manage relationships with employees and staff within the organization.
Ability to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly deadlines.
Demonstrated analytical skills to review financial data and produce reports and statements that meet company standards.
Working knowledge of SAGE/MAS 90 software (Preferred)
Working Conditions: Will be expected to travel as needed to satellite offices as well as to potential inquires to conduct due diligence. Periodic weekend or evening work is expected. Pay:
$20 - $26/hr
