Luxurious Condo Association located in West Orange, NJ is looking for a experience concierge for full time coverage Monday through Friday
Responds to people entering or exiting the building and other activities in the lobby area. Monitors and responds to building and security systems. Maintains all front desk logs and other documentation. Provides information for and directs communications to residents. Assists residents with parcels and luggage. Assists in maintaining lobby cleanliness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responds to people entering or exiting the building and other activities in the lobby area.
- Greets residents as they enter or leave the building or pass by the concierge desk. Maintains a pleasant, workmanlike relationship between residents and guests.
- Signs in, announces, and directs guests as needed.
- Sign in all vendors and delivery persons. Contact appropriate management personnel and/or resident as required.
- Maintains a written log to include all guests, visitors, employees, off-site workmen, work orders, mechanical malfunctions, apartment intrusion alarms, parcel deliveries, radios, move-ins and move-outs, injuries or accidents, and all other incidents in his area of responsibility.
- Maintains a written elevator log, detailing all problems and elevator incidents.
- Maintains a copy of the emergency procedure manual, resident roster, handicapped resident roster and reviews and updates these as directed and necessary.
- Acts as the communication center for building in the case of an emergency.
- Conducts himself in accordance with the Association policies and procedures.
- Remains at his post until properly relieved or so scheduled.
- Advises the next shift of all pending issues related to the property and residents.
- Enforces rules and regulations pertinent to common areas (lobby, garage, etc.).
- Monitors and responds to Building and Security Systems.
- Monitors security TV screens and reports incidents to proper manager or informs authorities as needed.
- Monitors building systems (e.g., generator, fire alarm, sprinklers, etc.). Reports problems to Superintendent or Property Manager.
- Monitors individual unit fire, smoke, and intruder alarms. Contacts resident to confirm problem and call fire or police as needed. Reports incidents to Property Manager.
- Provides information and directs communication.
- Receives and communicates messages to residents or building personnel.
- Answers front desk telephone and responds as required.
- Provides information to guests and visitors (e.g., directions and local services).
- Relays residents' requests for valet services.
- Assists in keeping and maintaining lobby cleanliness.
- Assists guests with parcels and luggage.
- Has a thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures.
- Ensures that all equipment in his area of responsibility is properly maintained, is in good and safe operating condition, in a high state of cleanliness and is properly stored.
- Remains in his position until properly relieved or so scheduled.
- Makes certain that all directives from Management are carried out as they may relate to his area of responsibility.
- Conducts himself according to Association policies and procedures.
