Taylor Residences provides quality housing and services that include independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing, short term rehab and memory care. We have proudly served Jacksonville’s seniors for 50 years. .Currently, we are looking for dedicated CNA's/Med Tech's to join our great team at Taylor Care Center Facility.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist with resident assessment, care planning and care documentation.
- Review and follow care plans.
- Review patients' dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure patient receives appropriate diet.
- Gather information from caregivers, nurses, or physicians about patient condition, treatment plans, or appropriate activities.
- Monitor residents and document health information as delivered and required.
- Observe or examine patients to detect symptoms that may require medical attention, such as bruises, open wounds
- Relay and chart requested information to include completed ADL’s, behaviors, meal consumption, liquid intake, vital signs, and elimination or problems with elimination.
- Ensure monitoring and recording of essential vital signs to include weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and others that may be prescribed.
- Relay information to next C.N.A. during change of shift, and/or to the nurse in charge.
- Assist with and provide direct patient care as required.
- Assist nurses or physicians in the operation of medical equipment use in providing care.
- Assist residents with nutrition, comfort, hygiene, grooming needs and anxiety relief Assist with oral care, nail care and basic hygiene as needed.
- Assist residents with washing, bathing or showering, and aid residents in dressing.
- Answer call lights promptly and provide care or services needed.
- Communicate clearly with residents, in calm, positive manner, to ensure they understand steps being taken to care for them.
- Maintain resident safety; assist residents in getting in and out of bed, moving to and from chairs or wheelchairs, to and from baths and bathroom, or any other mobility assistance required. Perform all lifts of residents using proper equipment and body mechanics per facility policy and procedure.
Qualifications:
- Must possess valid and current license issued by State of Florida.
- Must have completed an accredited nursing assistant training program approved by the State of Florida.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- .Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members of
- the residents, visitors, government agencies and the general public
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and demonstrate enthusiasm.
- Good verbal skills and ability to write clear, concise and legible documentation.
- .Certified as a Medication Technician or ability and willingness to complete certification.
- Minimum two years’ experience in adult living or skilled nursing facility preferred
- Elder care experience preferred
- Applicants must possess and interest in caring for the elderly's essential needs with compassion, kindness and professionalism.
- Be able to meet all AHCA regulations and pass pre-employment physical exam. This requirement also includes drug screening Level II background screen and reference inquiry.
