What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Taylors Windows & Screens, Inc?
Opportunity to join a local growing company! We are a locally recognized company and a leader in the window manufacturing industry. We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team of quality-minded employees.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of carpentry preferred
- Troubleshooting of electrical and pneumatic systems required
- Replacing components on equipment and making adjustments as needed for proper operation of machinery
- Understanding and performing preventive maintenance on all machinery in a timely fashion and documenting work done
- Perform welding of racks and wheels, if needed
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and order parts as needed
- Repair of electric and pneumatic motors, drills, and routers
- Replacing of equipment tooling and saw blades
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
- Experience of 3-5 years in similar field
- Knowledge of: AC and DC circuitry, electrical and pneumatic sensors and switches, motor controls and servo controllers, electrical testing equipment, software operating machines, use of hand and power tools, safety and lockout/tagout procedures
- Demonstrated ability to work without supervision
- Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills
- Be able to work alone as well as in a team environment
- Ability to be able to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic problems
- Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, walking, kneeling and bending approximately 85% of the day
- Computer and administrative work approximately 15% of the day
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
