What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operation assistant position at Tazewell County?
NATURE OF WORK
Appointed by the Director of Court Services and Probation and under the direct supervision of a departmental chief, this position primarily assists the department's Transfer Officer with clientele sentenced to probation who live outside Tazewell County or the State of Illinois.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enter new case data and photo into Tracker probation software program.
- Monitor / verify conditions of transfer out cases through communication received from supervising jurisdictions and report violations in a timely manner to the Transfer Officer.
- Prepare and maintain accurate case files and records pursuant to department policies.
- Become thoroughly familiar with and able to use all available software programs including LEADS, Circuit Clerk JIMS, Tracker, Jail System software, QuikLIMS, WinTox® and Microsoft applications.
- Prepare office for daily operations.
- Check office equipment functioning daily and inform Office Manager of needed maintenance.
- Ensure that all criminal justice information is used for criminal justice purposes only.
- Run LEADS.
- Answer telephone.
- Use voice mail accurately.
- Communicate with Officers and Supervisors regarding clients' behavior, conditions and comments.
- Undergo cross training with other support staff personnel in order to assist with any departmental coverage needs.
