Supply Chain Finance Manager plays a critical role in the developing, analyzing, planning, forecasting and the consolidation of the Supply Chain (SC) P&L, specifically related to total COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) and SC G&A (SC OH for General & Administrative expense) and providing financial leadership. Total COGS encompasses the consolidation of input cost (procurement, PPV and other variances), manufacturing (standard product cost and related variances) and distribution (includes both warehouse and logistics) for our total portfolio of products. The Supply Chain FP&A Finance Manager consolidates COGS performance, through analysis with SC Finance Leads to provide insight into business performance drivers. Provides financial expertise, high-level validation, due diligence and recommendations to leadership teams in Supply Chain Finance, HQ-FP&A, BU CFOs and functional business partners (HQ, BU, R&D, Operations, and others) that enable efficient and effective decision-making within the business. The Supply Chain Finance Manager will work collaboratively with SC Finance Leadership and cross function partners from Input, Manufacturing, Distribution, HQ FP&A, and Business Unit CFOs on monthly responsibilities, as well as supporting special projects with external consultants across Tropicana Brands Group (TBG). Scope of responsibility includes, but is not limited to the consolidation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and development of the AOP calendar, period-end results, variance analysis with commentary on actual, plan, forecast and prior year results; includes an assessment on reasonability of consolidated commentary to ensure consistent narrative of results, COGS waterfall bridges, Risk and Opportunity (R&O) schedules, providing analytical support to external consultants and savings projects, overall reporting on SC P&L and balance sheet line items, and other ad-hoc financial analysis as requested, along with the ability to pressure test consistency of commentary to actual results with required deadlines for Supply Chain Finance Leadership and HQ FP&A Teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consolidate period close results, reporting process for SC P&L including variance analysis to forecast, plan, flash reporting (early read) and prior year, combined with deep analytics and ensure insightful and meaningful commentary on variances through working collaboratively with Supply Finance Leads (Input, Manufacturing and Distribution).
- Develop MBR (Monthly Business Review) Excel analyses and PPT slides to explain COGS results (Vol-Mix-Rate) via waterfall bridges for YTD, FY and PY, to provide insights on performance and recommend areas of improvement to SC Leadership for improvement on actual results. Financial acumen is imperative as MBR slides are presented to Senior SC Leadership, Executive Leadership (Ex-Comm) and BoD (Board of Directors) for monthly and quarterly meetings, high attention to detail and accuracy are imperative.
- Present monthly consolidated variance analysis and commentary to Senior SC Leadership, HQ FP&A, HQ Accounting & Control, BU CFOs and others.
- Manage and update period close and forecast model, requires working collaboratively with SC Leadership (Input, MFG, Distribution) to gain deep understanding on performance results and key drivers, in order to provide key insights and ability to question key driver-based analysis with recommendations for improvement.
- Lead annual plan process for Supply Chain through development of detailed budget calendar with key areas of responsibility to ensure both HQ FP&A and SC Finance have appropriate time to achieve their deliverables to Supply Chain Leadership, Executive Leadership (Ex-Comm) and BoD. Ensure SCF Team is aware of impeding deadlines and follow-up as needed, managing the full E2E process for forecasting in Supply Chain Finance.
- Gain understanding and execute on Supply Chain processes and collaborate with HQ FP&A Leadership to ensure that SC Finance Leadership has appropriate time to prepare, analyze, and provide insightful commentary and key performance drivers on current and future year performance.
- Develop and support the preparation of BoD decks, which includes COGS waterfall bridges and detailed analysis to provide with insights into Supply Chain performance.
- Work closely with business units and supply chain partners to understand key trends, metrics and drivers of change to the business.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance SC FP&A team's overall efficiency, depth of insight, accuracy, etc.
- Provide analytical support and leadership for the War on Waste (WoW) initiative to help quantify and drive savings across Supply Chain.
- Lead and/or assist in performing ad-hoc analyses as requested to support savings initiatives, innovation projects, cost savings, and other special projects supporting the full brand portfolio.
- Manage, coach, mentor and develop 1-2 direct reports at Financial Analyst and Senior Financial Analyst levels.
Education/Certification
- Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting
Work Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting, FP&A, consolidation of actual and forecasted results, developing insightful commentary.
- Supply Chain FP&A and industry experience a plus
- Prior experience managing FP&A processes and direct reports a plus
- CPG industry a plus
- SAP/ECC and/or S4-Hana experience a plus
- CPA/CMA certification a plus
- MBA a plus

- Experience with forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, financial modeling and consolidations.
