The Opportunity
Our South Bow Field Reliability & Work Management group team looking to add a Mechanical Specialist to our Field Specialists team based in Houston, TX;
St. Joseph, MI; or Wichita, KS.
Reporting to the Manager, Field Specialists, this position performs various tasks related to mechanical equipment on a pipeline system including pumps, valves, HVAC, etc.
What you’ll do
- Evaluate the condition of pumps, valves, HVAC, measurement system components
- Perform maintenance based on company standards and original manufacturer’s specifications
- Assess equipment condition
- Monitor assigned production lines and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Identify systemic trends in failures and propose solutions that will work asset wide
- Assist in repairing, maintaining, rebuilding, and installing equipment and machinery
- Collaborate with other trades
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from a 2- or 3-year technical school program or associate degree in engineering technology
- Proficiency in MS Office, various operating systems, and mechanical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in energy facilities
- Proven experience maintaining pumps, valves and HVAC equipment
- Complete pre-employment medical screening including drug and alcohol testing
- Have and maintain a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract (record) for review
- Occasionally be available for extended work hours outside of standard business hours, and callouts as needed
- Travel across North America to other company or supplier locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training (estimated up 25% of work schedule)
