• Upholds all ethical standards associated with safety, quality and food safety policies and procedures within the facility, including the TC Transcontinental Code of Conduct and values.
• Complies with all the standards that are followed in the TC Huntley plant, including, but not limited to-Health, Safety, Wellness (HSW), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF), Continuous Improvement (CI) and any other processes established within the TC Huntley plant.
• Responsible for reporting all safety, quality, and food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
• Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

• Production Management: Oversee all day-to-day manufacturing operations and ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.
• Operational Planning: Develop and implement operational policies and strategies, setting comprehensive goals for performance and growth in coordination with executive management.
• Performance Improvement: Continuously analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions to improve production efficiency, speed, and quality.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure cohesive operations, solve interdisciplinary issues, and improve overall operational workflow.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring cost efficiency and profitability, and conduct financial analysis to drive operational improvements.
• Employee Leadership and Development: Manage and lead the team of manufacturing employees, ensuring adequate staffing levels, competent workforce, and a strong leadership pipeline. Motivate, mentor, and provide guidance to staff, promoting a positive work environment.
• Safety and Compliance: Enforce all safety and compliance guidelines for the production department and the entire facility, ensuring adherence to all local and national regulatory requirements.
• Innovation: Promote and integrate operational innovation and technological advancements where possible to improve productivity and efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operation Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing setting, preferably in the flexible packaging industry
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing operations and processes, production planning and quality standards
• Proficient in using manufacturing management software and other relevant IT systems
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience with budget development and oversight

• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to physical hazards, loud noise, temperature variations, etc.
• This role may require standing for long periods, and performing other physical activities
• Flexibility to work off hours and weekends as necessary.
