Operations Manager Job Description
The operations manager position will lead a team of hazardous material operators in a temporary staffing environment. He/she will be responsible to learn all aspects of the business and oversee the successful operations. They will not be responsible for doing any field work. Some of the responsibilities include:
· Manage, directly and/or indirectly, a team of 30-50 hazmat technicians who are working across four states
· Receive labor requests from customers and fill the request with members of TCB staff
· As a member of the company leadership team, report business metrics to that team with recommendations for improvement
· Be a key member of the company management team to help guide high-level decision making and the path of the organization
· Recruit and hire an effective staff commensurate with the labor demand of our customers
The ideal candidate will:
· Be able to work independently to solve problems and work towards quantitative goals
· Possess an extroverted personality and enjoy building relationships with employees, customers, and vendors
· Be organized to the end of delivering great reporting, staff management, customer service, and business process continuous improvement
· Desire to approach work with an eye towards understanding and working to attain business financial goals
· Have a desire to patiently coach/mentor employees so that they can meet their career, financial and/or personal growth goals
· Role model responsibility, integrity, and safety for TCB staff and peers
· Be willing to maintain a flexible work schedule that involves working (spatially) in the office, from home, at customer facilities and telephonically and (temporally) weekdays during business hours and all other times, when needed

College degree is a plus but not required. Management experience is a plus but not required. We have all the knowledge to run this operation and can teach someone. We are looking for a great candidate or a great student. A good aptitude and/or attitude is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
