What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitorial Services position at TCS?
We are looking for a Janitor, or custodian, to take care of our laboratories in a controlled environment. Training to carry out cleaning, maintenance and sanitation duties. The goal is to keep the laboratories in a clean and sanitized condition for manufacturing of pharmaceuticals.
Position Summary:
The GMP janitor performs cleaning of classified and non-classified areas as stipulated by applicable Standard operating procedures and completes GMP documentation on related forms in compliance with good documentation practices. The GMP janitor also prepares cleaning and sanitization solutions per applicable procedures and documents completion of activities in compliance with good documentation practices (GDP).
Essential Functions:
· Perform cleaning of classified and non- classified areas in accordance with applicable procedures and performs documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

· Restocks supplies in areas being cleaned as directed by applicable procedures.
· Must be reliable, dependable, and flexible.
· Must possess effective oral communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to deal with all levels of personnel in a professional and courtesy manner.
· Adheres to company GMP’s (good manufacturing practices), safety procedures and all other quality processes.
· Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when required
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience as a controlled environment or GMP janitor
Manufacturing environment experience a plus
Preferred Education:
· High school diploma or equivalent
Skills
- Proven working experience as a janitor
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
- Integrity and ability to work independently
- High school degree
