Quality Control Tech

Primary Job Function The Quality Control associate performs inspections of inbound product received and performs quality assurance of outbound (in compliance with customer specifications) while following all the food safety standards (HACCP/GMP) practices and policies respectful to food safety standards.   General Duties Monitor daily quality of the product and reports any product quality issue to Supervisor Checks rotation, temperature controls and identifies spoilage; Organizes items to match with labels in slots; Maintain assigned cooler neat and organized and assists in conducting inventory; Check quality on in-house product of the warehouse and inspect coolers;  Clean, maintain, and sanitize all equipment used in the Quality Control area according to established sanitary rules, regulations, and maintenance/calibration procedures. Supports purchasing and sales staff with accurate information of product condition;  Responsible for adhering to food security, food safety regulations and policies (HACCP, CGMPs) Must be able to perform other tasks duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager on duty. Required One year of experience in produce quality control Ability to work in Refrigerated Cold environment of 30-35 degrees Standing and Walking for extended periods of time; Ability to Lift between 45-50 pounds A good understanding of physical condition, food safety and basic cleanliness rules; Basic cleaning of the assigned area including sweeping, dusting, and cleaning the counters. Capability to follow instructions and procedures; Good hand dexterity and eye coordination; Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Willingness to be trained;  Preferred  Good team working skills and the aptitude to work alone;   Responsibilities The quality control associate is responsible for ensuring product quality and specifications while ensuring all food safety practices are adhered to   Performance Measurement On a regular and continuous basis exercises sound administrative judgment and assumes  responsibility and accountability for decisions, consequences, and results having an impact on people, costs, and/or quality of service.
