Warehouse - Forklift Oper.

Summary/Objective The forklift operator is responsible for putting away, dropping down, and rotating full pallets of stock through the warehouse inventory reserve racks using a stand-up or sit-down forklift. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Maneuver Stand-Up, High Reach, or Sit-Down Forklift to put away or let down pallets into warehouse racks up to 46 feet high. Picks/sorts and replenishes product from upper racks to front pick bins. Unloads product from trailers using forklift trucks and powered riding pallet jacks. Manually moves product from receiving dock to proper storage location. Monitors and enforces safe product handling procedures. Replenishes product from upper storage rack to lower pick bins within cooler. Monitors product quality as product is being moved. Breaks down pallets on receiving dock. Maintains cleanliness (sweep, mop, restack pallets) of receiving docks and pick bin area. Cleans and charges forklift at the end of shift.Record daily actions by use of RF Scan Gun Food Safety Responsibilities Responsible for following and adhering to the Sid Wainer Food Safety Program. Required, Education and Experience: Education High school diploma or G.E.D. required Experience 2 years of forklift experience. Ability to pass a forklift operating exam. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Language Skills:Ability to read, write and speak fluently in English. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Work Environment Perishable warehouse can range from 28° to 60° Fahrenheit. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Sunday, 8 hours scheduled according to assigned shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) with mandatory overtime as needed. Travel No travel is expected for this position.
