What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometrist and Ophthalmologist Needed to conduct Veteran C & P Eye Exams position at TDB Communications?
TDB Communications, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) is in great need for Optometrist/Ophthalmologist willing to perform one-time Veteran Disability Assessments (C&P Exams) on an independent 1099 contract basis. There is no treatment required, this exam will include an eye examination, and medical record review if requested on the initial VA request. Eye Exams are unfocused and therefore any/all findings related to the eye condition should be diagnosed utilizing Goldman process for Field of Vision exams
The fees paid for these exams are as follows:
Fees paid are $100.00 Cash per exam and an additional $25.00 Cash per Medical Opinion per eye and $35.00 cash for the Goldman Test. Most of the exams equate to $200.00.
Providers have the freedom to decide which exams they are willing and have the availability to perform and maintain the right to set their own schedule.
There is no administrative overhead or invoicing involved and you may opt to have office assistants or other staff perform the report data entry so long as you sign off on it and we will train you and or your admin how to use the system to enter the reports.
You are required to hold an active state license/certification in good standing without significant sanctions or malpractice.

This particular opportunity is for the specific area listed in the posting within a 100 mile radius from the city center and does require an established practice that you own or have permission to utilize for these exams.
All 1099 agreements are “At Will” for both parties, so should one try a few exams and find it isn't for you, or you find that you no longer have the availability, there would be no obligation to continue but you would remain an active member of our Medical Expert Consultant Panel and retain eligibility for opportunities with other State or Federal projects that have a need for your specialty as well.
