Summary: Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of Anechoic Chamber construction and installation projects to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

1. Plans and coordinates the design, fabrication, shipment and receipt, and installation of a variety of RF shielding/chamber/RF absorber projects.

2. Oversees employees and/or subcontractors for completion of contracted scope of work.

3. Coordinates design requirements and shipments with TDK personnel.

4. Reviews project drawings for accuracy, manufacturability, and to ensure specifications are followed/met.

5. Monitors and manages costs to ensure profitability.

6. Manages, controls, maintains, and updates project budgets in MS Excel.

7. Creates/maintains and updates project schedules in MS Project.

8. Interfaces with the customer from the proposal/bidding phase to final completion/acceptance.

9. Regularly communicates with the customer, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, etc. as associated with a given project to ensure proper planning & coordination is achieved.

10. Coordinates purchase of all materials and services required to support the project’s scope of work.

11. Works directly with vendors to establish clear scope of work/supply and receive bids/quote.

12. Writes purchase requisitions and secures internal approvals as needed for materials acquisition, services, and sub-contractor purchase orders/contracts.

13. Must provide regular and detailed project status updates to Director of Operations and/or other integral team members.

14. Participate in Team meetings designed to increase communication and keep entire team updated on project activities.

15. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally. Travel may be brief (a few days) or may be extended (several weeks).

16. Must be able to pass background checks as required for some customers with sensitive and/or classified facilities/projects.

17. May be required to physically perform or support the construction/installation work associated with our scope of work/supply.

18. Knowledge of and/or experience with multiple construction trades, such as carpentry, ironworks, electrical, mechanical, finishes, foundation/concrete, heavy equipment, welding, sheetmetal.

19. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
A minimum of five (5) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Position requires knowledge of project management, scheduling, construction-related regulations (e.g., electric code, building code, structural design, foundation design, HVAC, fire protection systems, OSHA, etc.), chamber functions, components and underlying technology, design drafting standards, architectural design standards, and regulations related to chamber design (e.g., FCC, EN, CISPR, ISO, ANSI, IEC, VCCI, etc.), contract administration, and import/export issues.

Position requires organizational, communication, and teamwork skills. The incumbent must have high attention to detail and customer focus.

Ability to work effectively with construction trades such as heating/AC, electrical, plumbing, concrete, fire protection/alarm, etc.

Ability to plan ahead to avoid issues, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and travel up to 50% of the time.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical drawings, documents, and contracts.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and/or concrete variables.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient experience and knowledge of MS Word; MS Excel; MS Project, and MS Outlook software. Knowledge and/or experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks, and MS PowerPoint.

Certificates and Licenses:
PMI Certification is not required but is desired.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities but must oversee the work of employees and/or subcontractors as needed for successful completion of projects.

When on customer’s site for installation, incumbent must be able to navigate around a construction site safely.
