We are a diverse farming operation growing corn, soybeans, and wheat on over 25,000 acres while also buying and selling farm equipment in a variety of brands. We’re hiring a Farm Equipment Operator to be based in Aberdeen, South Dakota. In this role you will be operating various pieces of farm machinery depending on your ability. In the slower seasons you will be working on maintaining equipment and various projects in the shop. You will report to the Farm Operations Manager.
We offer a competitive salary along with bonus, health insurance, 401K with a 3% match, two weeks of PTO and an additional two weeks at the end of the year (Approximately Dec. 16 – Jan 2).
This job might be for you if you have:
- Strong experience in operating heavy equipment; farming is preferred, although we are open if you have experience in other areas such as construction or military utilizing heavy equipment.
- Basic mechanical skills
- Attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Willing to work on a team
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons
- Valid driver’s license
What you would be doing:
- Operate farm equipment such as tractors, sprayers, combines, planters, trucks, etc.
- Perform maintenance on equipment in the field and in the shop
- Assist in other areas of the farm as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization and appearance of the farm, machinery, and land.
