We’re hiring a
Farm Operations Manager to be based in Aberdeen, South Dakota. You will manage 10-15 employees focused solely on our farming operations, both managing field operations during the growing season while also leading equipment maintenance year-round. You will be responsible for leading alongside a team, training new hires, and focusing on the efficient use of labor and equipment resources all the while communicating strongly across the organization. You would rarely be behind a desk and would focus your time on working closely with the team in the field or in the shop.

- Ability to travel to various farms within 100 miles of Aberdeen
- Willingness to work extra hours during peak seasons
What you would be doing :
- Lead a team of 10-15 employees in the field and in the shop
- Oversee all planting, growing, and harvesting operations during the season
- In the off-season lead maintenance projects, order parts, manage the inventory for the upcoming season
- Work closely with owners on the plans for production and you will lead the dispatching of a team of operators in planters, tillage equipment, sprayers, trucks and combines.
- Ensure daily plan is executed thinking ahead to remove any issues for the team to operate efficiently.
- Oversee quality of work performed by team
- Manage the team including coaching, training, and performance management
- Ensure strong communication across all team members and work closely with the owners on field progress and/or delays
- Occasionally operate farm equipment when needed
