West Monona is seeking a qualified candidate for our Elementary School Guidance Counselor position for the 22-23 school year. The candidate will provide a comprehensive school counseling program that focuses on Social Emotional Learning. The guidance counselor will also serve as a consultant to families and community partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and implement the elementary guidance/counseling curriculum.
- Collaborate to provide a comprehensive school counseling program, providing general guidance as well as responsive and intervention services for students.
- Assist in the implementation of PBIS.
- Guide individual and groups of students through the development of education, personal, social, and emotional needs.
- Counsel individual and groups of students who demonstrate specific needs.
- Create and maintain healhty relationships, while remaining readily available to students.
- Consult with administrators, teachers, parents, and staff regarding children's needs.
- Demonstarte flexibility, high levels of motivation, and enthusiasm when working with all learners.
