Generally, the Senior Corporate Counsel APJ’s responsibilities include negotiating and documenting customer, channel and vendor agreements, researching legal issues and assisting with preparing and implementing policies and procedures. The position is a member of the legal department team, reports to the Chief Legal Officer (“CLO”) and works very closely with other members of the legal department, the leadership in the APJ region and also with team members in sales, sales operations, account management, finance, human resources and marketing. The Senior Corporate Counsel is an “embedded resource” within the APJ operations theatre principally to support the Tealium APJ sales and account management teams but also to provide some corporate, compliance and human resources support. The legal department is a full service department and department members will be asked to accept projects and responsibilities within the scope of the department’s responsibilities that Contract preparation and negotiation – The position will be a member of the legal team supporting the sales and account management organizations (principally in the APJ theater) by negotiating and documenting customer facing agreements. Customer facing agreements include, among others, non-disclosure agreements, master services agreements (consisting of service orders and Master Services Agreements), customer renewals and amendments, data processing agreements, and reseller and referral agreements (channel agreements). In addition to customer facing contracts, the position will have the opportunity to review and negotiate vendor side contracts. The position will also be expected to use and assist with improving a comprehensive contract management system, and regularly updating contract templates.
