Sweetwater Propane, Inc. is a local propane company focusing on customer service. We are looking for a skilled Service Technician with a CDL (or willingness to obtain) looking for on-the-job training. We provide you with the latest technology to install tanks and complete repairs to customer tanks efficiently and punctually. We are a faith-based company that values our customers and employees.

About Our Service Technician position:

• Install, maintain, and service all customer and company propane installations and equipment
• Complete inspections; find and repair leaks of tanks on customer property
• Ask questions to make sure you have a clear understanding of what the problem is
• Bill customers for services and parts and account for funds and inventory of parts & tools
• Cross-train to deliver propane in a Bobtail truck (Support in obtaining Class B CDL provided)
• Perform a visual inspection of truck first thing in the morning and last thing at the end of your shift
• Maintain cleanliness of truck both inside and out
• Report all accidents, traffic violations, and damage to vehicles or customer property to manager
• Report any needed truck maintenance to your manager
• Willing to drive and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Provide excellent customer service, treating all customers in a friendly and courteous manner
• Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, approx. 45 hrs per week. On-call weekend rotation with bonus pay after adequate experience and training
• We will provide on-the-job training

What We're Looking For In Our Service Technician:

• Clean Driving History: Must have a clean driving record to operate company vehicles. We are looking for someone with a Class A or B CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements or willing to obtain a CDL with endorsements. Must be at least 25 years old, able to pass a DOT physical and drug test, and necessary clearances.
• Great Communicator: You will be interacting with customers. Must be courteous and friendly.
• Mechanically Inclined: Solid mechanical aptitude. Able to use basic tools.
• Active: Must be able to lift and pull equipment that weights 50 to 75 pounds
• Detailed: Ability and the drive to identify and determine the cause of a needed repair. Highly organized.
• Team Player: Humble enough to admit mistakes. Driven to do a great job. Great people skills. Great attitude.
• Relational: Able to build great rapport with customers. Must have excellent communication skills.
