Job Posting for Basecamp Director at Team Housing Solutions, Inc.
The Basecamp Director provides oversight and management of all aspects of the basecamp rapid deployment model including community engagement to support THS and client objectives. This position encompasses the coordination and project management of all basecamp projects that implement new infrastructure to support all aspects of the client’s living experience on base.
2.1Essential Position Functions
Project Management
Ensure the successful delivery of products and services in a safe, timely, cost-effective manner.
Maintain all project records, including—but not limited to—Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and all financial, human resources, contractor, and maintenance documentation.
Provide regular situation reports and updates to THS and/or the Mayor’s Cell, as necessary.
Maintain inventory of all THS property and vendor assets on site.
Coordinate with the Mayor’s Cell to track site population, capacity, and future requirements, and to address issues or questions related to activities or behavior of military personnel.
Follow up with the client to ensure satisfactory resolution of issues.
Conduct periodic inspections of the base camp and tenant spaces.
Maintain administrative record systems for all aspects of site finance, maintenance, Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE), personnel management, and service delivery.
Prepare and maintain appropriate records, logs, correspondence, and file notes.
Personnel Management
Manage THS staff, subcontractors, and vendors.
Promote positive employee relationships, retention, and professionalism through ongoing training, mentorship, and opportunities for professional development.
Hospitality/Customer Relationships
Ensure client is provided service excellence.
Build and maintain positive relationships with our clients, addressing their needs promptly and effectively.
Infrastructure Management
Track and ensure the daily maintenance and performance of power generation systems, electrical systems, water systems, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and other infrastructure support.
Ensure water systems comply with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality standards.
Provide troubleshooting and solutions for internet and telecommunications challenges.
Ensure camp facilities are mission-capable and deployed, assembled, and operated in compliance with applicable civil and military regulatory standards and codes.
Oversee completion of work orders.
Update the base camp Work Order Tracker and the preventive maintenance tasks list.
Ensure 24-hour emergency coverage for the site, develop, and execute emergency response plans, and ensure that all staff are trained and prepared to address crisis situations.
Professional Development
Conduct and/or facilitate personnel and staff continued education enhancing individual capabilities and THS mission accomplishment.
Community Engagement
Personally interact and create strong relationships with community leaders to facilitate and enable customer and Team Housing Solutions requirements and initiatives.
Support Team Housing Solutions
Deploy to assist with development or management of another camp as needed.
All other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Prior remote site experience preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a management role.
Experience with facility management and operations.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, vendors, public officials, etc.
Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing demands on site.
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in financial/budget management.
Familiar with OSHA and other facility safety requirements.
Certifications in technical, electrical, plumbing, and heavy equipment helpful.
Familiar with operations, personnel management, inventory control, and maintenance.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and MS Teams.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
