Supervisory Responsibilities: Tooling Employees
Purpose: To lead all tooling department employees toward a team-oriented, safe, pleasant, efficient, and company-policy-complaint work environment
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and
regulations. Demonstrate commitment to behavior based safety program
- Ensure and Promote Teamwork, Positive Attitude, and a good Cross Functional Team within the department and across other departments.
- Oversee daily work of Tooling Employees and the Quality of work performed.
- Oversee Tool Room
- Monitor and coordinate all aspects of the tool room to support production Assist in scheduling, hiring, evaluations, and discipline according to company policies and applicable laws
- Provide accurate documentation of all tooling information
- Create and maintain schedule for tool prep, maintenance, and repair.
- Create and maintain schedules in advance for, repair and modification Tooling Work Orders.
- Coordinate and schedule all Tooling Work Orders.
- Notify Engineering and Quality Managers when work from a Tooling Work Order cannot be completed.
- Maintain stocked inventory for purchase components and backup tooling insert components.
- Maintain toolroom vending machine for stocked components.
- Maintain appropriate communication with tooling employees and supervisors
- Other duties may be assigned
Essential Functions:
- Ability to sit, stand, twist, walk and bend
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to understand, implement, and communicate a changing work environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
