Warehouse Specialist Nightshift

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Purpose:   Supply assembly lines with parts from the warehouse and transferring parts from Assembly lines to FG as needed, in a safe and organized manner.  Receive/distribute parts.  Assist to monitor/track parts for inventory accuracy, conduct audits, and run reports to verify system information.  Support material needs per production requirements. 

          

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe work environment for self and others.  Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program
  • Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines and notifies their supervisor of any potential safety hazards within the work place. Demonstrates safety by practicing the following at all times:  wearing proper protection equipment, proper lifting techniques, & forklift operation
  • Follows safe and efficient work practices to produce quality work.  Understands the importance of maintaining production support by supplying components to multiple production lines while upholding safety, quality, and plant orderliness
  • Record warehouse transactions for Bin Location System
  • Remove FG from Assembly line to inspection area and record
  • Maintains plant orderliness by organizing empty trays, boxes, dividers, dunnage, & aisle ways in assembly area
  • Performs their job by working at a consistent and steady pace, being prepared to work each day, and reports to assigned area in a punctual manner
  • Communicates with supervisor and co-workers in a professional manner 
  • Actively participates in CIP events to improve the safety, quality, and efficiencies of our current processes and procedures. 
  • Utilizes the 5-S principles (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, and sustain) to enhance the plants orderliness and organization
  • Monitor incoming/outgoing inventory requests
  • Inventory audits/cycle counts
  • Run daily reports for negative balances on inventory parts
  • Audit inventory discrepancies
  • Receive parts in from Stock Inventory Suppliers as needed
  • Inventory adjustments as needed per RGA’s, cycle counts, audits
  • Maintenance of Bin Location System
  • Unload and load product from freight trucks when necessary
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area
  • Organization and condensing of inventory to utilize optimum space
  • Staging parts per production requirements
  • Tag/label parts for return to warehouse in a timely and accurate manner
  • Demonstrate commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and Objectives
  • Promote a positive atmosphere.  Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

Minimum Requirements: 

    Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to operate forklift in safe and efficient manner
  • Positive approach to position, responsibilities, and co-workers required
  • Each employee is expected to be to work on time for every scheduled working day  

Training:

  • Reference OJT

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., rarely lifting up to 60 lbs
