Team JAS, Inc. is looking for an NDT Inspector to join our team. Team JAS is an Aerospace Company, specializing in the support of Commuter Aircraft. Established in 1986 our company provides parts support, component repairs, and manufacturing of aircraft spares.

NDT inspector provides support for equipment/process evaluation (experimentation) activities, utilizing appropriate measuring equipment and data gathering/inspection methods as directed by QA. Should exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainees and Level I personnel. The ideal candidate is an individual with 4 years of experience with Magnetic Particle testing per ASTM E1444 and Liquid Penetrant per ASTM E1417. We would prefer an individual that is ASNT NDT Level II certified in Magnetic Particle testing per AST E1444 and Liquid Penetrant per ASTM E1417.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lifts and carries components, measuring instruments, tools, and test equipment; ascends and descends ladders and platforms; and frequently works in a variety of positions such as stooping, kneeling or squatting.
  • Uses micrometers, gauges, calipers, indicators, and other measuring instruments and test equipment in the performance of skilled inspection work.
  • Performs NDT and/or borescope inspections when applicable.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience
  • Magnetic Particle testing per ASTM E1444 and Liquid Penetrant per ASTM E1417.
  • Physical Requirements: Carrying, lifting, standing, sitting, and walking

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASNT NDT Level II certified in Magnetic Particle testing per AST E1444 and Liquid Penetrant per ASTM E1417

Details 

  • On-Site in Jacksonville, FL 
  • Monday - Friday 6:30AM - 3:30PM
  • Occasional overtime, no night shift, and we are closed on weekends.
  • This is a full-time hourly position.
