Crisis Coordinator
Full-Time / Hourly
Second Shift (Monday - Friday, 11 : 00 am - 7 : 00 pm)
$55,000 - $60,000 / yr
Team Recovery Ohio, LLC , the fastest growing organization providing treatment for substance use and mental health disorders in Northwest Ohio, is seeking a Full-Time Group Facilitator! Qualified applicants must be motivated, compassionate and energetic, with the ability to adapt and problem-solve potential issues.
Position Summary :
The Crisis Coordinator position is responsible for providing a safe and supportive environment for clients during "crisis" situations and ensuring appropriate follow-up is conducted.
The position reports directly to the Clinical Manager, but collaborates directly with the clinical care team in pursuit of comprehensive care and resolution of crisis situation s.
Job Functions / Duties :
The essential job functions / duties include, but are not limited to the following :
- Respond to crisis situations and provide verbal de-escalation, if needed, involving individuals with behavioral health issues and addiction disorders in a timely and effective manner.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate the severity of the crisis and determine appropriate interventions.
- Develop crisis intervention plans and coordinate the implementation of services to address immediate needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, emergency services, and community resources to ensure a comprehensive response to crises.
- Provide crisis counseling and support to individuals and families experiencing behavioral health crises.
- Coordinate follow-up care and referrals for ongoing treatment and support after the crisis has been resolved.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of crisis interventions, assessments, and follow-up services.
- Participate in crisis response team meetings and training to enhance crisis intervention skills and knowledge.
- Advocate for individuals in crisis to ensure they receive appropriate care and support from healthcare providers and community resources.
- Stay informed about best practices in crisis intervention, behavioral health, and addiction recovery services.
Skills and Knowledge :
Knowledge and experience in coordinating care with clients who have behavioral health and substance use disorders, including knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatments and 12 Step Programs.
Must possess the ability to educate clients, staff, and the community on health issues and promoting overall wellness.
Must possess conflict management and crisis intervention experience and skills, as well as possess the ability to effectively apply problem-solving skills while providing real time solutions.
Must possess excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, meet deadlines, and communicate challenges effectively.
Must possess the ability to work in a complex, detail-oriented, fast-paced organization.
Must possess interpersonal and decision making skills and be able to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, as well as possess leadership skills .
Must possess the ability to network and collaborate with healthcare and other social and cultural agencies that can provide services to the clients and families.
Must possess a compassionate, relationship-based, and trauma-informed approach to treatment.
Must possess high ethical standards, and the ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential material and situations.
Knowledge and experience in clinical documentation within an EHR system.
Knowledge of Gmail, Google Chat, Google Tasks, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.
Requirements :
- Valid Driver's License and insurance with clean driving record (required).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen (required).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment is preferred (not required).
Education :
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- CPR / First Aid, AED, BLS, or ALS Certifications are preferred (not required).
- CDCA, CDCA II Certifications (required).
- LCDC or LSW (preferred).
- CPRS, QMHS, and CPI Certifications (strongly preferred).
