JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW :
This position is responsible for the coordination of the monthly scheduling of D&Y approved locum providers at TeamHealth and commercial client sites servicing the EM and HM specialties each month.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Communicates with the designated client facility schedulers in advance of each forthcoming calendar month to obtain needed dates and shifts of locum tenens coverage for approved D&Y providers for the forthcoming calendar month.
- Communicates with credentialed D&Y providers for the client sites to match availability of approved providers with the needed coverage dates and shifts of the serviced client sites.
- Strategically maximizes and aligns each provider's work availability with client site needs to positively affect gross margin results for D&Y from each provider's days and shifts scheduled.
- Reconcile client schedules with D&Y schedules to ensure accuracy of schedules and gain visibility to open shifts.
- Generates needed confirmation tasks for D&Y providers' assignments in CRM to meet the coverage needs of client sites.
- Generates needed travel activity task in CRM for each provider's work assignment dates and shift times.
- Ensures accurately and timely processing in obtaining signed receipt of confirmations from client and D&Y providers prior to the scheduled service date(s).
- Maintains and updates relevant Provider and Client information in database, such as telephone and pager numbers, email addresses, client contact names and contact information, etc.

- Communicates effectively as needed with the D&Y sales team, sales management and designated client contacts to ensure timely resolution of any pertinent scheduling and service matters.
- Responds to after business hours calls pertaining to scheduled work assignments from providers and clients as needed.
- Completes all other tasks and assignments as directed by Director of Client Services.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE :
- High school graduate or equivalent plus two or more years of college or equivalent professional experience
- Two or more years of applicable experience in sales or customer service preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent problem solving skills with attention to details.
- Demonstrated efficient organizational skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a successful manner.
- Ability to adapt to change and effectively handle varying levels of stress.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information in performance of tasks.
- Possess immediate or higher level of computer skills (word-processing and spreadsheet).
- Must be able to answer after hour business calls from providers and clients relating to scheduled assignments.
