TECCA is excited to announce the opening of a Student Engagement Liaison position. The Student Engagement Liaison’s primary responsibilities are to connect with homeroom students daily and to offer support by motivating them to achieve greater levels of engagement and participation in both their synchronous and asynchronous coursework and school requirements.
Location Assignment:
As a new hire, you are required to work a minimum of 2 (two) days per week for the first ninety school days of employment at the TECCA main office located at 141 Mansion Dr. East Walpole, MA. After successful completion of the first 90 days, remote work may be added.
Student Engagement Liaison Job Responsibilities:
● Meet with the students and families and conduct a cause assessment for the lack of engagement to create an individualized Student Engagement Success Plan with the student and family and check progress weekly.
● Monitor engagement for a caseload of students who have been identified as having engagement concerns.
● Assist students with goal setting and provide them with strategies to achieve their goal(s).
● Monitor & update attendance daily for all students on their caseload ● Attend all 504, RTI/SST, engagement, and truancy meetings for all students on their caseload.
● Host multiple face-to-face sessions daily.
● Provide face-to-face coverage for other staff as assigned.
● Work closely with all school personnel regarding matters related to student attendance and welfare, including any making the connections/appointments between staff and students who need academic assistance.
● Meet with the Family Engagement Specialists on a regular basis and assist with the truancy process and create and monitor engagement and truancy Issue Aware tickets. ● Support student attendance using the District Engagement Accommodation Plan. ● Participate in professional development related to supporting students with engagement, truancy, and communication.
● Assist with student and family engagement strategies and make home visits alongside a School Social Worker and/or School counselor as necessary.
● Conduct ongoing group welcome calls & orientations throughout the school year, track student start up tasks.
● Other duties as assigned by administration.
