NOW HIRING - Lab Technician
TECH 2000 is currently seeking candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude for an available Lab Technician position in theBaton Rouge, LA area.
This position supports the Research and Technology Lab through the routine analysis of full scale manufactured products (raw materials, in process and finished product) via prescribed analytical techniques; ensures optimal equipment operation through maintenance/troubleshooting and calibration of instruments; and assists in non-routine or special projects as needed.
This role would be a perfect fit for someone with a few years of work experience in a polymer lab looking to branch out and grow into their career. Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply!
Requirements
- BS Chemistry or a similar science
- 1 year or more working in a polymer lab setting
- Experience in polymer formulations, synthesis, manufacturing and/or analysis
- Experience with performing physical-analytical tests including tensile strength, heat resistance, color, moisture content, impact, shear....
- Experience with mechanical instruments including extrusion/injection molding and roll mills/bra benders
Job Details
- Location - Baton Rouge, LA
- Shift - Days M-F
- Pay - $25-30/hr DOE
- Only local candidates will be considered.
Prior to employment, all candidates will be required to pass a drug and background screen, and may need to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
