Shift Chemist - TWIC Required
TECH 2000 is currently seeking candidates for two opportunities at client's facility in LaPorte, TX.
Major Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Observe and maintain safety requirements
- Perform laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations
- Perform routine & non-routine lab analyses as required
- Routinely operate a variety of standard lab equipment including Titrators, pH meters, densitometers, vacuum pumps, GCs with liquid & gas sample valves, GCs with manual and autosample injection, Total Nitrogen/Sulfur analyzers
Qualifications/Competencies:
- AS Chemical Lab Technology is the minimum education requirement with 3 year experience in a chemical manufacturing QA/QC lab environment
- BS Chemistry or similar science with 2 y experience in a chemical laboratory environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through the ability to troubleshoot and maintain lab instrumentation
- Solid math and statistical analysis capabilities - able to read and interpret data and know when to escalate, how to determine issues in production and how to resolve them.
- Computer Skills including Chromatography Data Systems, LIMS, MS Word/Excel/Outlook
- Knowledge of standardized methodology - ASTM/UOP, etc.
DETAILS
- Shift: Dupont- Days/Nights/Overtime
- Wage: $23-26/hour
- Location: Pasadena, TX area
