Overview:
Join our team as a 1099 Contractor for Cox Communications Cable Technician and play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network cabling systems. If you have a passion for technology and enjoy hands-on work, this position is perfect for you.
Duties:
- Install, terminate, and test cabling infrastructure including copper and fiber optic cabling
- Troubleshoot and repair network connectivity issues
- Perform site surveys to assess cabling requirements
- Assist in the installation of network equipment such as switches, routers, and access points
- Follow industry standards and best practices for cable management
- Document all work performed accurately
Qualifications:
- Experience with Cisco routers and computer networking
- Knowledge of network installation and telecommunication systems
- Familiarity with low voltage cabling standards
- Proficiency in using hand tools for cable termination and installation
- Mechanical knowledge for mounting equipment and running cables
- Understanding of Ethernet protocols and field service operations

- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose network issues efficiently
