Agriculture Consultant

Position Summary-

The Agriculture Consultant will provide expert guidance and education to underserved farmers.

This role involves developing and delivering training programs, workshops, and seminars to promote best practices in agriculture.

Candidate is expected to work 30-35 hrs/ week.

Educational Program Development:

• Design, develop, and deliver educational programs, workshops, and seminars on various agricultural topics.
• Create educational materials such as guides, manuals, videos, and online content to support learning.
• Stay updated on the latest agricultural research, technology, and trends to ensure content relevance.
• Conducts workshops
• Assist in technical assistance exercise on how to construct a high tunnel.
• Focus on increasing awareness of NRCS programs and services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Agricultural Education, or related field.
• Proven experience in agricultural consulting, education, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of agricultural practices, technologies, and sustainability principles.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
• Experience in curriculum development and training facilitation.
• Proficiency in data analysis and the use of agricultural software and tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and agricultural locations as needed
