Supply Chain Specialist - I (SK11416)

Responsibilities Buyer include:

• Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders to suppliers to meet customer service levels.
• Source requisitions below sourcing threshold and send RFQ and RFPs to suppliers.
• Follow current procedures, policies and guidelines
• Act as the point of contact for internal customers’ day-to-day interactions, help desk / support function
• Collaborate with the appropriate functional teams to assist in the resolution of issues such as: invoice holds, open pos, damage claims, rejections, losses, returns, over shipments, cancellations, and discontinuations.
• Work with Accounts Payable, Receiving and vendors in the resolution of discrepancies between purchase order, receipt and invoice payment
• Serves as liaison between and Supplier, maintains positive vendor relationships, plans and inputs to the negotiation of beneficial supplier agreements on behalf of the company
• Analyze performance and issues related to Purchasing process and systems
• Propose and support Purchasing system and process improvements
• Support Supply Chain team with ad-hoc projects
• Assist with Change Management activities associated with Purchasing process and system changes

Requirements:

• 2 years’ experience in Procurement and/or IT and/or Project Management and/or Data Analytics with a Bachelor’s degree
• OR
• 5 years’ experience in Procurement with a High School degree
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly fluid company environment with minimal direction
• Demonstrates respect, focuses on delivering value, and embraces learning and continual improvement
• To be able to manage ambiguity and frequently evolving priorities
• Ability to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
• Strong team player

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of relevant procurement or supplier management experience, preferably in manufacturing environment
• Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry
• Experience with ERP Systems - Oracle EBS, SAP or similar
• Experience with P2P and spend management tools such as Ariba, Bravo/Jaggaer, Tableau

Pay: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
